Hello Everyone

WWG Annual AGM

Just a note to thank Everyone who attended the WWG Annual AGM yesterday, Saturday 27th January 2024. I thought that it was an excellent turn-out of both newer and long-standing members and I counted around 38 attendees. Prior to that, Barbara had led a walk from behind Ashcombe Park and she had 18 walkers, including two young people whom I understand are doing their Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.

We voted Tony Comport on to the Committee as Treasurer following the resignation of Colin, and Tina as the new Social Secretary. I understand that Jenny Mac has offered to help her. The rest of the Committee were voted in.

Unfortunately, no one has volunteered to be Secretary as Dina, who has done and excellent job, having been opted on to the Committee, wants to step down. If anyone can help, please let me know as soon as possible.

50th Anniversary of our Walking Group

As our 50th Anniversary of our Walking Group was on 21st January (last Sunday), we have decided as a celebration, to have a week's walking / activities during the week beginning Sunday 5th May. This will coincide with North Somerset's Month of Walks. We will start with a coach outing to West Bay, Dorset and other activities will be sent out shortly. I do hope most of us will be able to support some if not all of the activities. As usual, Everyone is welcome.
